Description: Le Bonalguet is brimful of rich fruit and Saint-Emilion-like finesse. It's from a vintage described by
critic James Suckling as “another great year for Bordeaux”. With all its luscious, velvety fruit, this
regular Gold-medal winner is a stunner.
Not many wines can boast 23 top Gold medals in six years, but that’s the triumphant haul for this
claret, 2015 to 2020. It’s from a small estate in Saint-Germain du Puch, between Bordeaux and Saint-
Emilion. The estate grows Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet on clay and limestone soils typical of the
greater Saint-Emilion region. Owners Agnès and Alexandre Sueur and winemaker Gregory Dalla
Longa make wines that reflect this special terroir and the unique character of each vintage. And
Bordeaux 2020, with its long, warm summer, was certainly high quality. "Bordeaux has another
terrific vintage on its hands with 2020" wrote Jeb Dunnock, "outstanding quality level" put Suckling.
Decant at least an hour prior to serving it with roast lamb or duck.
Tasting notes: Supple, rounded with bright, fruity length and rounded tannins
Aroma: Deep cherry, plum, cassis, with a hint of floral and cedar spice
Region: Bordeaux AOC, France

Description: For great value, mature reds, head for Spain. This is a gorgeous mellow Gran Selección from Campo
de Borja, using old-vine Garnacha, plus dense Cabernet. Aged for five years in oak, it's gorgeously
complex with soft berry spice and savoury length.
As the late Spanish wine expert John Radford once wrote in Decanter, the tiny enclave of Campo de
Borja is “the source of some of the best value wines from Spain, if not the world”. It remains true.
Where else could you find such a mellow, complex, oak aged red at this price? It’s made by our old
friend Pamela Geddes (who also makes our bestselling Monasterio de Santa Cruz) at the 500-year-old
Bodegas Ruberte. 60% of the wine is Garnacha from vines planted in 1958. They’re not as prolific
these days, but the intensity of flavour in the grapes is impressive. The balance is Cabernet
Sauvignon, which adds classic cassis character and structure to the spicy, raspberry rich Garnacha. A
rich and fragrant Spanish red - a great choice with lamb.
Tasting notes: Mature and complex with soft berry fruit and a long spicy finish
Aroma: Soft berry and spice notes. Hints of sweet earth and leather
Region: Campo de Borja DO, Spain
Awards: Double Gold, World Trophy, 2022
Gold, China Wine & Spirits Best Value Awards, 2022
Gold, Guide des Vins Gilbert & Gaillard, 2022
90pts, Guide des Vins Gilbert & Gaillard, 2022
Gold, European Wine Challenge, 2022
Grape: Garnacha-based blend

Description: Your favourite lemony-fresh, super-grassy, French Sauvignon Blanc, and always great value. It's from
our friends the Bougrier family at their Loire cellar. Searching out the best grapes from various
regions results in this citrusy, aromatic white.
For quality and value, Abbesse Sauvignon Blanc is hard to beat and an all-time customer favourite.
It's from our friends, the Bougrier family, with whom we've worked for the last 20+ years. Every year,
they search out the best parcels of grapes from Touraine, the Pays Nantais (home to Muscadet) and
other regions where the grape shines to get the perfect balance of bright fruit and elegant, citrus zip.
They've named the wine in honour of the original Abbesse of the famous Abbaye de Fontevraud
nearby, Louise de Bourbon, a major figure in Loire history. This delicious expression of the region’s
reigning grape is a fitting tribute to her. Delicious chilled as a glass on its own, it's also a classic with
goat’s cheese and all sorts of seafood.
Tasting notes: Very lively, ripe; intense citrus, gooseberry and herbaceous notes
Aroma: Forward aromas of grassy, lemon and gooseberry fruit
Region: Vin de France, France
Awards: Silver, Anivin de France, 2023
Grape: Sauvignon Blanc

Description: Revel in the brilliant, green apple fruit and refreshing zip in this stand-apart Pinot Grigio. It’s from the
Italian hotspot for this grape – the Veneto – and is so much more than simply fresh, with flavours
that’ll have your taste buds tingling.
Northern Italian Pinot Grigio tends to be a stony fresh, subtle fruit white. That's true of Il Pino, but
the wine has just a little bit more, too. Riper stone fruit, with citrus freshness and it’s always good
value. It comes from the high-altitude Adige Valley, just inland from Venice and home to some of the
best quality Pinot Grigio in Italy. Plentiful sunshine and cooling mountain breezes together ensure
healthy, ripe grapes with excellent aromatics. Deliciously fresh and thirst quenching, this wine
displays crisp lemon and grapefruit flavours, white stone fruit and a minerally edge. It’s a ‘drink
anytime’ wine, but perhaps best enjoyed as an aperitivo or with grilled white fish, prawn or spring
vegetable risotto or leafy summer salads.
Tasting notes: Fresh, citrusy with classic green apple, pear and peach notes
Aroma: Lemony, bright apple and pear notes
Region: Venezie DOC, Italy
Awards: Gold, Gilbert & Gaillard International Competition, 2022
Grape: Pinot Grigio

Description: Think posh Prosecco with this deliciously aromatic and lively bottle of bubbles. Reguta is one of
Italy’s leading producers in sparkling wine. This is their fresh orchard fruit Spumante, an elegant fizz
with real vivacity and delicate floral notes.
Reguta’s story began in the 1920s with Ettore Anselmi, who bought a plot of land in Verona – 25
hectares dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards and orchards. His methods might not have been
certified organic, but his methods were meticulous and mindful. His sons Giuseppe and Luigi
absorbed his philosophy and passion for the land, then moved the business to Italy’s top white wine
region of Friuli. Predicting that Prosecco would boom well before the DOC happened, they expanded
and dedicated their efforts purely to sparkling wine production. Today they boast 250 hectares and
are recognised as a leading cellar. Featuring the apricot-scented fruits of the Ribolla Gialla grape, this
is a delicious, extra dry Spumante that's hard to resist.
Tasting notes: Fresh orchard fruits, crisp apple, lively mouth caressing bubbles
Aroma: Delicate floral complexity, crisp orchard fruits
Region: Vino Spumante, Italy
Awards: Gold, Gilbert & Gaillard International Competition, 2023
Grape: Ribolla Gialla

Description: An exclusive alternative to rosé Champagne at a fraction of the price. Made in the perfect cool
climate of Limoux, in the same exacting manner as vintage Champagne, this is a very fine and
distinguished fizz with classic, strawberry scented finesse.
We have offered this exemplary rosé for years and its multitude of awards and 5-Star reviews speak
volumes. It is a huge bestseller and especially popular at weddings. Roche Lacour winemaker Viviane
Gianesini works her magic beneath the cool hills of Limoux. Here, the monks of Saint Hilaire are said
to have mastered sparkling wine methods in 1531, many years ahead of Dom Pérignon of
Champagne fame. Bottles back then were fragile and didn’t travel, so their success remained a local
secret. This pioneering pink gains its salmon hue in the same manner as the finest Champagnes, from
gently pressed Pinot Noir. Enjoy this exquisite rosé when you have something to celebrate.
Otherwise, treat opening a bottle as a celebration in its own right!
Tasting notes: Crisp, refreshing, delicate, red berry flavours, creamy bubbles
Aroma: Fresh strawberry, a dash of peppery spice and cream
Region: Cremant de Limoux AOC, France
Grape: Rosé Blend
